Cognitive Security Canada is a public-interest research and awareness initiative. This website provides information, research materials, downloadable publications, and contact pathways. We aim to collect only the information reasonably required to operate the website, respond to inquiries, and support responsible research development.
Information we may collect
We may receive information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organization, message content, and any research or collaboration details you voluntarily submit through email or contact forms. Standard website systems may also process technical information such as browser type, device information, approximate location, pages visited, and referral source.
How information is used
Information may be used to respond to inquiries, manage research participation interest, improve website reliability, maintain records, protect the site from misuse, and develop public-interest research communications. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies
This website may use essential cookies or similar local-storage tools to remember cookie consent and support basic website operation. If analytics or embedded third-party services are added later, they should be reviewed for privacy impact and disclosed here.
Research participation
Submitting a general inquiry does not make you a research participant. Any future research activity should include a separate consent process, plain-language participation information, and appropriate safeguards for privacy, withdrawal, and data handling.
Disclosure and retention
Information may be shared only where necessary for website operation, legal compliance, security, or direct response to your inquiry. Records are retained only as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which they were collected, unless legal, administrative, or research-governance reasons require longer retention.
